Buon Ferragosto

Today is a big holiday in Italy, nearly everyone is off work and headed to the beach. Pippo gave the boys the day off, so I thought I might kind of take the day off, too, especially since I live here at the beach. So Buon Ferragosto and enjoy a beach themed post…

Buon Ferragosto

In ancient times, Ferragosto symbolized the end of the harvest and was introduced by Emperor Augustus. The Catholic Church has its own meaning for the day, but nowadays, it seems like everyone just uses it as an excuse to hit the beach. So I’ll leave you with some images of our favorite Milan people and their beach excursions this year as I step outside my door and onto the sand…

Honda took time to take pics with the ladies while training in Florida with the Japan NT

Inzaghi took some time to chillax at Rimini after being promoted to the first team
Barbara represented on the Milan cruise in June

Later in the summer, Pippo spent time w/friends at Formentera, including Abate, far left

Balotelli had a friendly encounter with a baby alligator while vacationing in Florida
De Jong in Ibiza rocking the paddleball

And De Jong with the fam in Ibiza
Zapata with his wife chillaxin post-World Cup
Montolivo's intensive rehab regime with his wife in the Carribean

And Pippo celebrating his 41st in Forte dei Marmi w/Bonny, Abate, Galliani, Abbiati, and Pazzini

This post inspired by my beautiful Southern California beach and an excuse to see more of it
