Frosinone-Milan Preview: Please

I didn’t ask for much this year for Christmas, only that Milan would play better and get a result against Fiorentina. I got half my wish – Milan did play better. But the loss was unlucky and did more to add to holiday depression than Christmas goodwill. So I am going to ask one more time, especially since the game is at 3:30am for me: Please, Santa? Please let Milan play better and give us a result against 19th place Frosinone tomorrow. Please?

I can't handle anymore disappointment this year

Frosinone are the team who were promoted in a match where their staff and players threw extra balls on the pitch, and the questionable ref decisions were plenty. But still, they were promoted. Shame on you, FIGC.  Olympiacos followed their lead and did the same thing in our last Europa League match. So I hope they don’t throw balls on the pitch tomorrow.

They drew their last match 1-1 away to Udinese on Saturday. For that match, Baroni lined up Sportiello; Goldaniga, Ariaudo, Krajnc; Zampano, Chibsah, Maiello, Beghetto; Ciano, Cassada; and Ciofani. Baroni will be missing Paganini, Dionisi, and Hallfredsson to long term injuries. Additionally, Capuano is in doubt, having had the flu last week.

Cheaters never prosper, but this is not a good match for them to start

While Strinic is training hard to be match fit after his heart issue, Gattuso is still missing Bonaventura, Biglia, and Caldara long term. Bertolacci now has a tendon injury, and Borini either was kidnapped by aliens, or is still on the injury list. Suso was also not called up, struggling with a minor injury. But Kessie and Bakayoko are returning from suspension, so at least we have that to look forward to.

I personally have a tough time watching the players train and travel on Christmas, a time when they should be with their families. If it were up to me, I’d cancel this match. Not just because of the timing, but also because I do not need to see Frosinone get a result tomorrow. It will be too much to bear. So please, Santa, if there is even one elf at the North Pole, please let Milan get a win, no matter how ugly. Please?
